I know it's supposed to be a little more downmarket, but I think they overshot a little on the name.

I mean XE works within Jag's alphanumeric system, that's where they were coming from.
The problem with XE, though, is that it sounds like the mid-level option on a mediocre economy car haha.

There was also a Chrysler Laser XE, but that was much more Jaguar-like, what with its genuine Mark Cross leather upholstery.
